Reflections for Class #3

I still do not have a book, so I have been unable to read the reading assignments yet, but will catch up over the weekend when I finally have my book! Today in class, we learned about flickr. We were able to experiment with it and upload, tag and put descriptions for our photos. We took our own photos to make a lesson plan about multiplication for elementary students. We set it up so that each photo asked a question about multiplication, and the answer was given when you scroll over the photo. It was a very useful website that I plan on using along with my lessons in the future. It is nice for students to be able to get a visual of what you're teaching; it makes it more interesting for them and helps them learn!

  1. Hi Heather,

Flickr is another fantastic site. I just love learning about all of these awesome tools. I am excited to just use them myself, in addition to my classroom.

  2. Something I was really impressed with by watching the presentations by the different groups were the variety of ways Flickr can be used in the classroom. There truly seem to be creative applications for every subject!

  3. Indeed, there are already so many applications before we even think about creatively using the application in the classroom. It will be interesting to see the common uses for it in the next few years.
